Medium difficulty
Ingredients
Pastry:
-
11 oz of flour
-
1 pinch of salt
-
1.8 oz of butter
-
2 eggs
-
1/2 glass of milk
-
0.38 oz of baking powder
Tomato sauce:
-
2 tomatoes
-
3 onions
-
3 cloves of garlic
-
1 tbsp of tomato puree
-
Salt, pepper, chili powder
-
Parsley
-
3 cans of tuna
Preparation
Pastry:
In a large bowl, put the flour, baking powder, butter, salt and mix well. Beat the eggs, add the milk and then add it to the flour mixture. Knead everything for 10-15 minutes (if necessary, add flour) and let the dough rest for 1 hour 30 minutes. After resting the dough, spread it with a rolling pin on a table top coated with oil and make the shape you want using a cookie cutter or make squares with a knife. Cook the pastels in a very hot oil until a golden color is obtained.
Tomato sauce:
Put the oil in a pan and add the onions and the cloves of garlic, cut into squares. Add the spices, chopped parsley, and cook for a few minutes. Then add the tuna, the diced tomatoes and a tablespoon of tomato puree. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
